Easy Beauty DIY: Make Your Own Magnetic Brush Storage.

Magnets aren’t the girliest thing we can think off, even though there are cute versions out there we usually only like them when attached to refrigerators. But when we found this diy on Xovian.com we finally found another good purpose for these metal tools: the magnetic makeup brush storage.

In the video down below Rae Morris, Australia’s top makeup artist and L’Oréal Paris’ longest serving worldwide makeup director, points out that brush canisters are annoying because you have to look/feel around to grab what you need, brush rolls take up too much space, and don’t even get me started on the hygiene issues with letting your brushes roll around in the bottom of your makeup bag.

Of course you can buy Morris’ magnetized brushes and brush plate, but it much more fun (and cheaper) to do it yourself! Let’s go!

Needs
– Make-up Brushes
– Strong, circular magnets in various sizes (you can get them at the craft store)
– Equally strong glue, like Amazing GOOP
– A metal plate to put the magnetized brushes on

Instructions:
First, add a small dollop of glue to the end of the magnet and wait a few minutes, as the glue works best if it dries a bit. Than secure the magnet to the bottom of the brush, pressing down hard.

Wait 24 hours for the glue to fully dry and find a new use for your brush canisters. You won’t be needing them anymore! If you don’t wait 24 hours you will rip the magnets off when pulling the brushes from your metal plate.
