We gotta be honest here: we all want to look like Beyonce. The women has fierce looks and a killer body it seems like she was just born with it. But this week Queen B got real on Good Morning America about her true diet plan and why she’s such a fan. The singer is currently following a vegan diet which helps her detox and she revealed that she’s teamed up with trainer Marco Borges for the 22 Days Nutrition Meal Plan, a plant-centric meal delivery service to accompany Borges’ book by the same name. What makes Queen B super cool is the fact that she’s willing to talk about her body insecurities too.
“I am not naturally the thinnest woman,” she said. “I have curves. I have struggled with diets and finding something that works for me.” Really works, if that incredible naked dress moment at the Met Gala serves as any proof, though we do think that Beyoncé has always looked phenomenal.
But, she noted, the difference with Borgo’s plan is the sustainability factor—and we’re not just talking about the Earth-friendliness of forgoing processed foods in favor of whole grains and plants. The reason why Borges’ plan is 22 days long is because that is the research-backed length of time it usually takes to establish a habit. In other words, the point of 22 Days Nutrition is that you’ll adopt this healthy way of eating for the long haul, it’ a lifestyle.
“The weight stayed off,” she emphasized on the tv show. And a smaller waist isn’t the only benefit of filling up on nutrient-packed veggies. “I felt like my skin was really firm, a lot more than when I restricted myself,” she added.
So there you go—now that we’ve got her diet, we’re just 22 days from being Beyoncé at the Met Gala, right?
